Omar H. Téllez is a serial technology entrepreneur and executive who has played a pivotal role in building three Unicorn companies. He was the Founding President of Moovit (acquired by Intel), a core member of the executive leadership team at Niantic (maker of Pokémon GO, acquired by Savvy, part of the Saudi Public Investment Fund), and served as CMO and EVP at Synchronoss Technologies, which went public on NASDAQ under his leadership and became the best-performing IPO of 2006. With a career spanning mobile mapping, AR gaming, and B2B telecom platforms, Omar brings deep expertise in scaling global tech ventures.

He is now focused on driving educational and economic transformation in Latin America. Most recently, he co-founded CaribeSTEM 4.0, a regional initiative mobilizing leading tech entrepreneurs to revolutionize STEM education and digital workforce development across the Caribbean basin.

  • Niantic – A core member of the executive leadership team since its spinoff from Google, contributing to its growth internationally and ultimately responsible to the approach and sale to Savvy and the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) in 2025 

  • Moovit – Founding President and Board Member; instrumental in scaling the company, which was funded by Sequoia Capital and later acquired by Intel for $1.1 billion. 

  • Synchronoss Technologies – Served as CMO and EVP of Business Development, leading the company’s IPO in 2006 (backed by Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank), which became the best-performing software IPO of the year.
