Omar H. Téllez is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and executive with a proven track record of building and scaling three Unicorn companies across mobile public transportation/mapping, mobile gaming/augmented reality, and B2B telecommunications platforms. 

Leadership & Achievements at 3 Unicorns 

  • Niantic – A core member of the executive leadership team since its spinoff from Google, contributing to its growth internationally and ultimately responsible to the approach and sale to Savvy and the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) in 2025 

  • Moovit – Founding President and Board Member; instrumental in scaling the company, which was funded by Sequoia Capital and later acquired by Intel for $1.1 billion. 

  • Synchronoss Technologies – Served as CMO and EVP of Business Development, leading the company’s IPO in 2006 (backed by Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank), which became the best-performing software IPO of the year.

Omar is deeply committed to driving innovation and educational transformation. Most recently, he co-founded CaribeSTEM4.0, an initiative uniting top tech entrepreneurs across Latin America to revolutionize STEM education and job creation in the Caribbean basin—positioning the region for significant technological and economic growth.
